Dr Aine Hennigan
Originally from Mayo I moved to Waterford in 1999.
I have settled in well having three children in school here and continue to enjoy working in Catherine Street all that time with good friends and valued colleagues.
After qualifying from UCD and completing my Internship in the Mater Hospital I joined the Dublin Regional Vocational Training Scheme in General Practice.
During the following years I worked in Accident and Emergency, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and General Medicine before spending further time working in Waterford Regional Hospital in the Psychiatry Department.
I have achieved a number of additional qualifications listed below and am a Member of the Irish College of General Practice
- Diplomas in Paediatrics
- Diploma in Obstetrics and Women's Health
- Diploma in Psychiatry
- Family Planning cert
- Higher Diploma in Dermatology
- Licentiate of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.
- Diploma in Long Acting Reversible Contraception.
- I am a LARC tutor.
As a GP Training Practice for Doctors Specialising in General Practice we have a strong interest in Medical Education.
It is a great privilege to provide medical care to our valued patients here in Catherine Street.
