Dr Aine Hennigan

Originally from Mayo I am married to Barry and have three young children.

I have worked in Catherine Street Medical Centre as a GP since 1999.

After qualifying from UCD I worked as an Intern in the Mater Hospital, Dublin before qulaifying as a GP.

I worked in General Medicine, Accident and Emergency, Paediatrics and Obstetrics in various Dublin Hospitals as part of my GP training before spending a year employed in Waterford Regional Hospital in the Psychiatry Department.

During the course of my post graduate training I achieved a number of additional qualifications: 

 - Diplomas in Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Women's Health, Psychiatry.

 - Higher Diploma in Dermatology.

 - Licentiate of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.

 - Diploma in Long Acting Reversible Contraception.

As a GP trainer for qualiying GPs and to Medical students from the Universiy of Limerick I have a strong interest in Medical Education.

It is a great privilige to provide medical care to our valued patients here in Catherine Street.

My goal is to provide a holistic, high level of medical care in a compassionate environment.
